Vacation Time!!

It's that time of year again, where we get to pack our bags and move to Pakistan for a few weeks to get pampered and spend money like kings!

But before all the glory... comes the packing, and my little story that I HAD to tell...

Last night as Omair and I started our packing, Iman felt the sudden desire to help. When we opened the suitcase and I started putting the things in, Iman ran to her toy chest and picked up as many toys as her little hands could carry (one was even balanced under her chin!!) She carefully walked over to the suitcase and dumped in all her treasures. She continued to do so until the suitcase was overflowing with her things. Omair and I tried to reason with her and gave her a suitcase of her own, but she insisted on packing her things along with ours.

After a BIG struggle with our little one, we finally managed to distract her with a bag full of old clothes. Those of you that don't know, Iman is a girly girl and LOVES to dress up all the time. So the bag of old clothes was a big treat. A little while later we saw Iman "wearing" all the things she could get on, and the funniest part was that she didn't know what to do with a pair of old shorts, so she just put them on her head as a hat!

This is all for now...

Happy New Year in advance, I'll be seeing you all in 2006!

Happy Birthday Ujala Khalaa

You've been there for my big days...

And I've been there for yours...

You play with me, you teach me silly things and you make me laugh. Thant-too for being a very important part of my life!

Hope you have an amazing birthday!

Love,

Iman

PS. Thanks for letting me blow out the candle!

Especially for Mayya and Jammie (and all those party planners out there)

As promised... Here is a little insight on the party planners heaven.

There is a HUGE store in Dubai called the "Party Warehouse". We came across it near Iman's first birthday. When birthday time was coming near, Omair and I went over different ideas for "themes". Finalizing "The Power Puff Girls" we went to the Party Warehouse in hopes that we would be able to find something related. When I walked in there for the first time I was TOTALLY blown away. You can not imagine what you will see...

There are all kinds of party supplies. From invitations to center pieces. Balloons, plates, napkins, decor, party favors... you name it, they have it. And if they don't have it, they will get it for you. Party themes for all occasion, birthdays, weddings, baby showers, wedding showers, new years, engagements, retirements. If there is something you celebrate, you can come to the Party Warehouse for your needs.

We walked in thinking that we wanted our theme to be "The Powerpuff Girls", but once we were there, we saw that they had a specific theme for a girl's 1st birthday. And once we saw that... nothing else was good enough.

Enjoy the pictures.
