Potty Training: Day 2

Ok, it's getting a little better.

I realized that yesterday was such a disaster because I didn't know what I was doing.

Today we've had a couple of hits, and a couple of misses. It's getting better because I am trying to "read" her expressions and it's actually working! She gets really freaked out when she has an accident, but I just comfort her and tell her that we'll try again next time.

This has to be one of the hardest parts of motherhood. Everyone think positive potty thoughts for Iman.

*Those who are completely disgusted... I will post other stuff soon, potty updates will appear once a week :)

You know what makes it hard? The fundamental realization that this IS motherhood: teaching and encouraging and all that good stuff coupled with the reality that our children ultimately have to make their way in the world and part of that journey is accompanied by the ocassional failure as well as triumphs. And it is not easy watching your child struggle, whether it's toilet training or learning to read or being hurt by a friend...

Hang in there!

ood for you...Be patient and don't let her being upset make you upset. She's only going to get nervous and forget the important training points.

Let her feel loved and show her the answer. In the meantime you do your part of taking her as often as you can. Also, respect her when she says "no".

Iman will leanr fast. Children have a thing where they pick up things sooner than you believe.

This NOT going to be easy but day by day, you will both come out as winners.

Thanks for sharing her updates !
